Our acting workshops, led by casting directors, are designed to foster continual development for our actors. These sessions offer opportunities to network with industry professionals, which is crucial for various reasons. Actors can stay sharp and confident for auditions, learn innovative self-taping and audition techniques, and gain insights into scene approaches through direct interaction with casting directors. This includes immediate feedback on their performances. Each session features different casting directors, expanding our actors’ professional networks. Additionally, actors can build vital connections and be seen by these directors. The workshops also include a Q&A session. However, space is limited. Learning to become an actor is like any other skill – you need training and practise! Rather than the drama school approach, The Reel Scene offer practical acting courses from recognised working acting professionals like Asa Butterfield to get you up to speed fast! The Reel Scene can also help you with getting an agent, networking and professional headshots. Why not kickstart your acting career with an Acting Taster Workshop?

Take a look through our acting courses and find the one that suits you! If you can’t attend acting classes in person, why not check out our Online Acting Course, or try The Actors Gym to take part in our range of online acting classes?

If you have any questions you can contact The Reel Scene online. Tell us about yourself, your acting experience and what you hope to gain from studying acting with us. One of our team will be in touch to discuss the next steps with you.

Many of our courses and workshops include filmed exercises and scenes, such as The 6-Day Intensive Acting Course, The Asa Butterfield Masterclass and The Screen Acting Year Course. We are one of the few professional acting courses that shoot scenes with our actors every month as part of our Screen Acting Year Course. We want to get you in front of the camera as often as possible, after all, that’s what acting is about! You’ll shoot scenes to practise the particular skills you’ve learned, and these scenes will be edited by our in-house professionals including Joe Nurding (https://www.boommonkey.co.uk/) and editor Lucas Young (Television New Zealand, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King). These scenes are crucial for you to learn about framing, continuity, performance, the effects of lighting and directing and much more. You’ll receive the scenes as files and unlisted YouTube links.

Our Screen Acting Year Course and 6-day Intensive Acting Course both come with headshots!  Not only will we schedule a professional headshot shoot for you with an agency like Pure Headshots, but we will also teach you how to get the best out of your headshots and what casting directors look for in headshots.

Yes, we work with BuyLine to provide a range of finance options – please visit the Finance Information page for details.

A good agent will only sign an actor once they’ve had a chance to see them work, to see how they work with other actors and crew, and have reviewed their showreel and headshots. Agents from RS Talent regularly attend workshops and classes (we are always looking for new talent) and may recommend further training if you show promise. That’s why it’s great to come to these workshops, meet people, make friends and make yourself known! Many of our graduates leave our courses and go on to gain representation.

We welcome English-speaking actors of all ages and levels of experience, from anywhere in the world! If you’re under 16, you’ll need the approval of your parent or guardian, but we welcome parents to come along and watch the classes. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to know more.
