Here’s what you need to do now!

1. Download and learn this audition scene: 500 Days of- Summer Scene

2. Record a slate: A short video where youa re framed head-and-shoulders and facing the camera. Introduce yourself and tell us which character you’ll be peforming.

3. Perform either part (Autumn or Tom) and record it on camera – you can record it diectly after the slate, or as a separate clip (but you’ll have to join it to the recording of the slate).

– Use your own accent
– You can record it using your phone, but it must be horizontal/landscape, not portrait/vertical.
– The camera should be at the same height as your eye
– Make sure you’re well-lit and your voice is clearly heard
– The background behind you should be blank, like an empty wall
– Make sure you are framed to just show your head and shoulders
– Have someone else read the other role – they should stand next to the camera and read quietly.  They don’t need to be an actor

3. Send the video file to [email protected] using the free WeTransfer service at https://wetransfer.com – make sure you include your name, phone number,  email address and let us know which course this is an audition for.
