The acting course is held over 6 days at our studio in London twice a year, working with industry actors, directors, casting directors and agents! Culminating with 2 showreel scene shoots where you get to show off what you’ve learned and network with industry professionals.

Our 6-day intensive acting course in London is your pathway to a professional acting career.
Dive into a comprehensive program at The Reel Scene, where you’ll gain the knowledge and tools essential for success in the industry. You’ll experience thorough acting training, engaging industry presentations, and interactive Q&A sessions. Prepare for the real world with simulated auditions led by casting directors, and leave with professional headshots and quality showreel footage.

Your instructors will be seasoned actors like Kevin McNally from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ David Schaal from ‘The Inbetweeners’ and ‘The Office,’ Amanda Clapham from ‘Hollyoaks,’ Lydia Bewley from ‘The Inbetweeners’ and ‘The Royals,’ Frank Harper from ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,’ Debbie Howard from ‘Doctors’ on BBC, and Shobu Kapoor from ‘Eastenders’ and ‘Citizen Khan.’
Plus, you’ll learn from directors like Adam Morse of the feature film ‘Lucid’ (featuring Billy Zane from Titanic) and Charles Belleville, director of ‘Jet Trash.’ (starring Rob Sheehan and Sofia Boutella!)
This course is your first step towards turning acting into your profession.
We are more than a school! We have a production company where our team and CEO Alex Fidelski cast and produce feature films – many of which include our graduate actors. Our actors have been cast in projects including The Bystanders, It’s the Blackness, To a Cinder, the Sky show “Agony and Ecstasy” to name a few!

We accept actors over 16 years old who have the right to study in the UK and are able to meet the financial obligations of the course. Because some of our workshops and courses can be quite intensive and you’ll be working with other actors and a variety of professionals in sometimes demanding situations, we require a self-tape audition and an interview with CEO Alex Fidelski before you can join the course.
We accept actors over 18 years old who have the right to study in the UK and are able to meet the financial obligations of the course. Because some of our workshops and courses can be quite intensive and you’ll be working with other actors and a variety of professionals in sometimes demanding situations, we may require an interview or self-tape audition before you can join the course. The final networking event is frequently held at a venue where alcohol is sold so we require our students to be 18 or over.

Many of our courses and workshops include filmed exercises and scenes, such as The Event, The Asa Butterfield Masterclass and The Screen Acting Year Course. We are one of the few professional acting courses who shoot scenes with our actors every month as part of our Screen Acting Year Course. We want to get you in front of the camera as often as possible, after all, that’s what acting is about! You’ll shoot scenes to practise the particular skills you’ve learned, and these scenes will be edited by our in-house professional editor Lucas Young (Television New Zealand, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King). These scenes are crucial for you to learn about framing, continuity, performance, the effects of lighting and directing and much more. You’ll receive the scenes as files you can use as part of your showreel.
Our Screen Acting Year Course and 6-day Event both come with headshots! Not only will we schedule a professional headshot shoot for you with an agency like Pure Headshots, but we will also teach you how to get the best out of your headshots and what casting directors look for in headshots.

A good agent will only sign an actor once they’ve had a chance to see them work, to see how they work with other actors and crew, and have reviewed their showreel and headshots. Agents from RS Talent regularly attend workshops and classes (we are always looking for new talent) and may recommend further training if you show promise. That’s why it’s great to come to these workshops, meet people, make friends and make yourself known! Most of our graduates leave our courses and gain representation (98% in 2019).
As well as the team from the Reel Scene and talent agency RS Talent, we bring in special guests to run each of the workshops. The choice of guest will depend on their availability or work commitments. In many cases, we work with David Schaal (Jay’s Dad on The Inbetweeners, Glyn from The Office, and a veteran actor from many other shows) or Steve North (Doctor Who, Holby City, Eastenders, London’s Burning). All information will be provided before your course starts, e.g a costume for your shoot, appropriate clothing for your headshots and showcase, pad, pen, printed scripts. We recommend wearing loose-fitting clothing. Bring a bottle of water!
