If you’re intermediate or an actor with years of experience there will always be time for improvements! And I do enjoy The Reel Scene (TRS) year intense course, because it’s giving me new knowledge and I get to work with professional, industry working people. Not just tutors who talk and talk and read out from a book. If you want to be actively working on your craft and eventually create something yourself of contribute towards a group project that will be aiming for BAFTA festival, TRS is the right place you should be at!!!!

What an amazing 6 days! Everyone was friendly, positive and helpful. Small group of 14 people so everyone got personalised feedback. Alex and Nicola were really supportive and the actors and directors who worked with us each day were fantastic, a really unique experience. I learnt so much and felt my skills were developed and honed during the event.

As an Art passionate, I have been curious since years for this path of acting. I would highly recommend The Reel Scene. Nicola and Alex are always welcoming and there for any help or information. I have just finished the Level 1 course and looking forward to continuing with my learning career and experience with them. The different approaches from the teachers (Steve, David, Abigail, Manpreet, Nicola) who are connected to the industry give you a complete vision, real tools and techniques from a professional perspective as well as support creating a safe space to gain confidence when you are starting on this experience.

I have just finished my 1 year course with The Reel Scene and it has been one of the greatest investments I have ever made in my life. I have worked with some incredible talent and gained practical insights about the industry and the creative process which wouldn’t be as open to you at traditional drama schools.If you are thinking about applying don’t hesitate just do it.

Great professional screen acting school managed by great people! I did the year course, the weekend schedule allowed me to travel for classes once a month from Paris. I would recommend the Reel Scene for actors who want to understand how the acting industry works in the UK. We got to work with different industry professionals every month (directors, actors, casting directors, producers…), people who can speak and teach from experience. Small group means everyone gets individual attention and screen time. And most importantly every month you shoot scenes for your showreel and at the end of the course you get to act in a professional short film with a director, full crew… we were so lucky to have an incredible set location this year and be directed by Charles Belleville. Thanks a million to Alex and Nicola for this incredible year! 🙂

I took part in the 6 day intensive course. Their slogan says your acting career starts here, but it also means your acting career re-starts here. I was dubious of diving into another acting course, having graduated drama school two years ago, and just re-learning all the same content I had previously. But this course is much more than an acting training course. It doesn’t just teach you about the industry, it throws you in head first. You work with industry professionals across the board, and are expected to perform to the highest ability that you personally as an actor can offer. You are immersed in improvisation, filming for TV & film, filming comedy, performing live theatre, learning to network all whilst surrounded by directors, producers, casting directors and agents. I know that those who have had less training / experience benefited hugely from the classes we had, but, for me, if there was anything I missed at Drama School it was this course. You spend enough time with the professionals to develop strong working relationships; ones I hope I’ll maintain throughout my career moving forward. A massive thanks to The Reel Scene team, for keeping it real, and for giving actors a foot in the door.

As a veteran of dozens of feature film and television projects, I have been privileged to work with some amazing people over the years, and Alex and the team at The Reel Scene are first rate. I participated not as an actor, but as a writer looking to hone my ability to create dynamic characters, seeking to delve more deeply into the headspace of how a skilled actor brings to life the lines on a page. The instruction and exercises were surprisingly relatable and effective, and the course consistently exceeded my expectations. The instructors not only clearly understood their craft, but were highly effective communicators at helping us connect viscerally with the concepts and immediately put them into practice. They were also extremely warm and genuine people, ridiculously fun, and cultivated an environment that felt safe and supportive. The feedback process was both encouraging and intentional in providing clear direction for improvement. I cannot recommend The Reel Scene more highly.

The best decision you could possibly make would be to take a course at the Reel Scene. Whether it’s the week, 3 month or year long course, you will gain so much. You get amazing feedback as the classes are usually small. I have made good friends on the 3 month course and learned more than i thought i would. Highly, highly recommend.

3 days of Asa’s masterclass is one of my best experiences in London!! We were spending a lot of time together, play concentrated games, practice lines, dig deep into our emotions, rehearsal and shooting. Those were extremely fascinating!! And the most remarkable part was I’ve made plenty of talented friends which is really precious for me. On a scale of one to ten… can I say 12? 😉
