Harry Gilbert is a British casting director specialising in film, TV and theatre.

He trained originally as an actor at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, then shifted into casting in 2019.

He assisted prominent casting professionals (Sarah Trevis among them) before moving into his own projects.

Born and raised in East London.

Key credits & achievements

He was named one of the winners of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Breakthrough 2024 for his work.

His first feature film as casting director: Reawakening (2024), starring Jared Harris, Juliet Stevenson, Erin Doherty.

His TV series: G’WED (launched spring 2024), which became a significant success on the ITV channels.

A short film credit: LIONS (short) – BIFA-nominated and won the Unifrance Grand Prize in 2023 at Cannes.
