Reel Scene Attends the Red Sea International Film Festival as Global Industry Engagement Continues
Reel Scene CEO and producer Alex Fidelski attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah for the second consecutive year in December 2025, continuing Reel Scene’s commitment to staying actively embedded within the global film industry.
Alongside producing and developing new projects, Alex regularly attends major international festivals to network, build relationships, explore co-production opportunities, and stay fully informed on industry shifts, incentives, and emerging markets. With Reel Scene preparing to shoot a new feature this year, being present at festivals like Red Sea is essential to understanding funding structures, international partnerships, and the evolving landscape of independent film production.
The festival hosted a wide range of high-level panels and conversations with leading industry figures, which Alex attended throughout the week. Speakers included Idris Elba, Riz Ahmed, Nicholas Hoult, Jessica Alba, Adrien Brody, Dakota Johnson, and Anthony Hopkins. Alex also had the opportunity to ask questions directly to Adrien Brody, Idris Elba, and Stanley Tong, raising topics frequently discussed by Reel Scene alumni and emerging actors.
These insights are actively fed back into Reel Scene’s training, mentoring, and filmmaking approach. Attending festivals is not passive observation; it is about doing the work, building relationships, and staying visible, the same mindset we encourage in our actors when pursuing roles and careers in the industry.
Reel Scene will continue this approach in 2026, including returning to the Cannes Film Festival, where alumni are invited to attend alongside the team and experience the festival circuit first-hand.
If you are looking for an acting school that operates as part of the industry, not separate from it. Reel Scene offers training, access, and real-world engagement designed to support your journey beyond the classroom.
